There are many reasons why people prefer to have their counselling sessions online.
This could be because you have:
· Mobility problems and find it difficult to travel.
· Anxiety causes you difficulty in leaving home
· You work long or awkward hours
· Travel extensively for work
· Live in a foreign country and do not speak the language
· You live in a remote area
· You care for someone and it isn't possible to leave them unattended.
· You have small children and are unable to leave them unattended
Steps to Online Counselling
1. Initially you contact me. Describe briefly what is concerning you and tell me a little about yourself.

3. We will meet up on Skype. We will also agree on:
Time and date for next session (generally these are agreed at each session)
How often we will meet on Skype
The length of our sessions (generally one hour)

If you are interested in Online Counselling please email me and I will be in contact with you as soon as possible to arrange your first free session.
I have spent some time researching into the best software for live chat in terms of confidentiality. I have found that Skype offers the best option.
Skype is free, high quality, and only takes a moment or so to download and install.
With Skype you can either type, talk, or talk and see each other via a webcam. Webcam is best for counselling but you can just type if you prefer.
Skype is free from adware/malware/spyware.
Is Skype Confidential?
Yes it is, Skype sessions are encrypted to ensure privacy and confidentiality. You can read more about it on Skype's website.
